An interdisciplinary team of computer scientists, physicists, and political scientists from the Warsaw University of Technology and the University of Warsaw has published a paper in the Journal of Informetrics analysing how publication authors' affiliation with major technology and IT corporations (commonly known as Big Tech) impacts the transfer of ideas in science.

The Centre for Innovation of the Warsaw University of Technology has announced the results of the first ‘Grant for a Prototype’ competition implemented by the Warsaw University of Technology from IDUB funds. Funding was awarded to 10 teams.

Collaboration between WUT and the Warsaw University of Life Sciences on equine orthopaedic research

A research team consisting of scientists from the Warsaw University of Technology and the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) has begun work on the identification of metabolic and structural changes in tissues of overloaded joints in sport horses. In the future, research findings may help to prevent the occurrence of osteoarthritis (OA).

Professor Krzysztof Szczypiorski in the NASK Scientific Council

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalisation Krzysztof Gawkowski appointed new members of the NASK Scientific Council. Professor Krzysztof Szczypiorski is among the experts who have joined the Council from the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the University of Warsaw (WEiTI). Professor Szczypiorski is head and co-founder of the Division of Cybersecurity at the Institute of Telecommunications at WEiTI, co-founder and head of the POB Research Centre for Cybersecurity and Data Science at WUT, as well as head of the MBA Cybersecurity Management postgraduate programme at the WUT Business School.

Recycling of insulation foam

Researchers at the Faculty of Material Science and Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology are investigating the possibility of producing insulation foams from the residues of post-consumer PUR insulation foam waste, obtained from the dismantling of refrigerators, freezers, and other refrigeration equipment.
